Located right off exit 34 off the Merritt, Lakeside Diner offers the quintessential diner experience. So much so, it has been used as a location in several films including “College Road Trip.” It isn’t large and it isn’t fancy, but it’s authentic diner fare done right.
Opened more than 50 years ago, Lakeside is located on the bank of Holt’s Ice Pond, complete with bathing Mallards and happy geese. The water view makes for pleasant dining and you forget, for a moment, that you are sitting yards away from a parkway.
