A long time ago there was an actual farm here, mostly orchards, but a farm. If you pay attention to the street names, the agricultural history of Norwalk unfolds even though the land that once was the place where calfs grazed, or strawberries grew, are now mostly suburban cut de sacs. But Fodor farm hasn’t lost the last vestige of farming since it is home to Norwalk’s municipal community garden.
Located at 328 Flax Hill Road, the main house dates back to 1809. There’s a treehouse, and a tree farm that the Norwalk Tree Alliance maintains in order to provide the city with future trees for use in the urban areas of Norwalk.
