In April 2009, NBCUniversal moved the production operations of Maury, The Jerry Springer Show and The Steve Wilkos Show to Stamford, from New York and Chicago respectively, in order to capitalize on Connecticut’s Film and TV tax credit. Collectively, these shows produce 480 episodes a year, taping from August to May at Stamford Media Center’s state-of-the-art, high-definition studios.
MAURY
Maury is a daily, one-hour nationally syndicated talk show hosted by veteran journalist Maury Povich. Featuring popular topics like “Who’s the Father,” the live studio audience is entertained with paternity testing to determine the correct baby daddy, and telling truth from lie through polygraph test. Adding to the drama, each episode also includes backstage and behind-the-scenes access for loyal viewers who have always wondered how the show operates.
Currently in its 20th season, Maury tapes Thursdays and Fridays in Studio A.
